As the massive doors inside the hall opened, a remarkable combination of staleness and unnatural purity filled their lungs.

The smell of premises that no single living cell has entered for several decades seemed familiar,

yet like something that you shouldn't interfere with – as if it was giving out a hollow scream of silent desolation.

The stillness of it all was clear, and yet, it seemed like it was alive.

Pulsing with calculations, block by block. Each rig capable of computing the number of pi by the

quadrillionth decimal in a matter of seconds. There were thousands of them,

each interconnected by the blockchain. A distant hum of the cooling system accompanied the pulse.

The final resting place was to be found from within the crypt,

followed by wall after wall of the mining rigs.

And yet, it seemed empty, as if he never existed.
